| Race Notes |
| Apr 14, 2002 |
#29 Kenny Wallace replaced Kevin Harvick, after NASCAR had "parked" Harvick due to his actions during the Truck race on Saturday. Harvick was already on probation from an incident at the April Busch race.
During the Truck race, Harvick was racing Coy Gibbs and the two tangled on the track several times over the course of several laps. Gibbs spun Harvick one time exiting Turn 4. Following a caution on Lap 188, Harvick rammed Gibbs' rear bumper entering Turn 1 and finally spun him exiting Turn 2. NASCAR felt the actions were deliberate. At that point, NASCAR ordered Harvick to park immediately park his truck. Harvick parked his #6 Chevy in front of the Truck series hauler near pit road. www.nascar.com |
