| Race Notes |
| Oct 10, 1999 |
CHARLOTTE, NC NASCAR Officials have rescheduled today's UAW-GM Quality 500 until 11 a.m. Monday morning. Mike Held, NASCAR's Vice President of Competition, said, "We have run out of time to dry the track, run the race, and get the fans and workers home at a decent time tonight." NASCAR had set 11 p.m. as the race ending time. This would allow for a four hour drying time, and a four hour race. At 3 p.m. the rains still fell at the Lowe's Motor Speedway.
The race will be televised on TBS beginning at 11 a.m. Octoboer 11, 1999.
